Et tu Fox News? What happened to our “Fair and Balanced” Network?
My thought for the day…
So, I’m not the only viewer who’s had enough of Fox News! I was surprised but not shocked to see the recent ratings report that showed CNN dominating Fox News.
CNN ranked #1 in cable news in prime time in April. CNN beat Fox News for the fifth time in the last eight months in M-Su prime time (four of the past eight in M-F prime) among adults 25-54. The last time CNN had this many prime time wins in an eight-month period versus Fox News was over 14 years ago (Nov. 2001).
For many years my evening TV viewing habits were like clockwork. During dinnertime, I begin with Greta then I’d roll right into O’Reilly, Kelly and Hannity.
However, like many of you, I’m tired of what I’m seeing on Fox News and will be trying another channel.
I’ve been a broadcaster/journalist for over 25 years. The Fox News anchors have bent over backwards to make Donald Trump “like them”. Before you go crazy on me, this isn’t about Trump. There are many things about Trump that I like. This is about a network ditching its journalistic integrity to make sure The Donald doesn’t get mad at them. Further, it’s the same old thing night after night; it’s like a soap opera. If you miss a few days, no problem. When you come back, it’ll be a continuation of where you left off. I guess I’m tired of hearing one rant followed by another rant and all along the same line of thinking.
Mr. Tough Guy, Bill O’Reilly, is the worst one. He does everything he can to make sure Trump doesn’t get mad at him. Hannity, a wanna-be-tough guy, is no different, either.
Journalism isn’t about the guy/gal behind the microphone.
Of course, Fox News wouldn’t agree with me on this concept.
Where do we go for our national news?
Legitimate news — not twisted to meet the “anchor’s” ideology.
I’m conservative and don’t want to have to listen to a liberal’s view on news, either.
